Lighter-haired candidates must search out the newest laser hair removal treatments in order to see the best results. Older laser hair removal treatments had small to no effect on blonde, red or grey hair. Modern laser hair removal systems use a longer light spectrum in order to seek out lighter colored hairs. The Meladine website boasts a nearly 70% removal rate of these harder-to-remove hairs. Meladine works by darkening hair before using a traditional laser hair remover. Meladine must be applied 2-6 weeks before each laser hair removal treatment, which could stretch out the length of the overall process quite a bit. Meladine does not stain skin and will not really change the visible hair color of the patient. Meladine also offers private labeling to spas, so be sure to question your beauty service provider if they offer Meladine.

With these advancements in technology, lighter-haired people seeking laser hair removal treatments now have options to choose from.
