Latisse Lashes Treatment:Well loved cosmetic Trends

Over the past year, a steady stream of women (and some men) visited my office asking about the practice of drug Latisse the product darkens, lengthens and thickens lashes, and whether it is safe to use. Before I discuss specific information about this product, it is vital to know what is meant by ‘the safe use really mean.

The safety is established and maintained by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In fact, in several other countries all over the world, as well as the FDA relies on more stringent standards for drug safety. Before the drug can be approved for public use by the FDA, it must first successfully pass through a series of clinical trials to determine its effectiveness, efficiency, and safety. If the product meets this standard, it will be approved or general use (over-the-counter) or restricted (a doctor’s prescription required). Drugs are usually placed under restricted use if it is potentially perilous if used incorrectly, if it carries the possibility of misuse would be if the side effects can be potentially significant, or if more data must be collected on the range and intensity of side effects.

Latisse within the restricted category, meaning that it can be used only under medical supervision. FDA considered the drug is safe when used as directed, with the caveat that the person may experience side effects that can range from mild to severe. But, this statement is based on statistical analysis of data collected from clinical trials and can not be directly applied to individual cases. Thus, the vital question is if this product is safe for you. In fact, medical science can not give you this guarantee, as each of us has a unique metabolic profile, which is based on genetics, physiology, lifestyle and life circumstances. For this reason, it is vital to monitor how you respond to medication, and report any side effects that you experience with your doctor, no matter how trivial they may seem to you at the time.

Now that we know how to determine the safety of medicines, let us address a specific product Latisse.

M. 5 December 2008 pharmaceutical company Allergan, Inc. has received approval from the FDA Bimatoprost eye drops in the market, under the brand name Latisse. Since its approval, be used to strengthen the lashes Latisse value became very well loved cosmetic trends.

Clinical studies have shown that Latisse is safe when used as directed, using the recommended dose. But, those who are thinking about using this drug should be aware of possible side effects that you can make a choice about whether or not it is right for you.

In addition to noticing the lash-lengthening effects of Bimatoprost, ophthalmologists also reported that the iris (the colored part of the eye) to darken the trend. Brown and blue eyes may be brown shades. Brown eyes can be a deeper brown. This discoloration appears to be permanent, do not change because the drug is discontinued. Although this is a tolerable side effect of glaucoma patients when compared with the prospect of becoming blind to changes in iris color may be acceptable to those who use Bimatoprost cosmetic eyelash enhancing purposes.

Latisse the upper eyelid margins at the base of eyelashes. Under no circumstances should it be the lower lashes. There are several reasons. One of these is the fact that this drug can cause darkening of the skin of the upper eyelid. Although an effective eye make-up may include a mixture of changes in the eyelid discolouration of the lower eyelid color is not aesthetically desirable.
